The 11th Wuhan University International Law Forum 2018 was successfully held

On May 10, the 11th Wuhan University International Law Forum 2018 was successfully held in Room 323 of Law School. The speaker was Dr. Mou Di, a famous alumnus of Wuhan University, who is now a partner of LLink Law Offices. He gave a speech with the theme of how to be an outstanding lawyer in disputes resolution while the host is Prof. Deng Zhaohui.

 

Dr. Mou studied at Wuhan University and obtained a master's degree and a doctorate in international law. He is currently a partner of LLink Law Offices, specializing in dispute resolution, international commercial arbitration and litigation. From 2014 to 2017, he was selected by Chambers as the “up-and-coming talent” and “potential newcomer” in China's regional dispute resolution business for four consecutive years.

 

In this lecture, he shared his journey from law school students to practicing lawyers. Dr. Mou first talked about the different evaluation systems between the campus and the workplace, and then proposed the importance of the change of thinking mode, and vividly explained the way of thinking of law school students with clear conditions to the only result through three vivid cases. The difference in the way lawyers seek to solve the path based on the results requested by the client. Finally, Dr. Mou has expressed ardent expectations to the younger brothers and sisters who are interested in legal practice, and hopes that they will complete the transformation of law school students to professional legal persons as soon as possible.

 

In the questioning session, Dr. Mou made specific questions on the choice of lawyers' practice direction, the preparation of lawyers before the trial, the application of mediation in dispute resolution, and the choice of different dispute resolution methods.
