The Vice President of China Construction Bank Huang Yi and His Entourages Visited Wuhan University Institute of International Law

On the morning of July 26th, Huang Yi, vice president of CCB and president of CCB Research Institute, visited our institute accompanied by Xu Yi, the executive deputy secretary-general of WHU Education Development Foundation. Accompanying visitors were Wu Jianhang, general manager of the Strategic Planning Department of CCB, Lin Xiaodong, general manager of the Legal Affairs Department of CCB, Xu Yunqing, general manager of the Party-masses Working Department of CCB and An Jun and Fang Lei, researchers at the CCB Research Institute.

 

Professor Xiao Yongping, president and executive director of WHU Institute of International Law, met with the visitors and held an discussion. Zhang Hui and Feng Jiehan, deputy presidents of WHU Institute of International Law, Qi Tong, the director of the Teaching and Research Section for International Economic Law, and Qiao Xiongbing, the director of the Teaching and Research Section for Private International Law attended the meeting.

 

The forum was chaired by Dr. Deng Zhaohui, deputy director of administration of WHU Institute of International Law. Professor Xiao Yongping first extended a warm welcome to vice president Huang Yi and his delegation and then presented a brief introduction of the basic situation, historical development, the academic research, personnel training, foreign exchange, the construction and achievements of WHU Institute of International Law, the National High-level Think Tank. Vice president Huang Yi spoke highly of the achievements made by WHU Institute of International Law. In the meantime, he introduced the basic situation of CCB Research Institute.

The attendees at the meeting communicated and discussed about the issues of how to view the current status and problems of international trading system as well as its future opportunities and challenges in the context of Sino-US trade war, the current status and problems of intellectual property assets and rights protection in China as well as how to boost innovation power in finance, industry and so on through the intellectual property strategy in the background of the new era.

 

The two sides reached preliminary cooperation intentions in academic research, the construction of the think tank and some other fields.
