To strengthen the cooperation and communication between the national high-level think tanks and explore the establishment of professional research support model and long-term working mechanism, on the afternoon of October 19, Xiao Yongping, president of WHU Institute of International Law and Nie Jianqiang, Deng Zhaohui and Huang Zhiqiong, deputy directors， conducted warm and friendly talks with Liu Chunjie, vice president of the Institutes of Science and Development, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Zhao Lanxiang, executive director of the Support Center for Consulting Research of the Institutes of Science and Development, Zhou Jianzhong, executive director of the Support Center for Scientific Popularization and Education Research of the Institutes of Science and Development， Wan Jinbo， deputy director and Yuan Xiu， assistant researcher. The two sides discussed in depth on the four major aspects of the general situation, operation, talent team, and financial management of the two high-level think tanks.

President Xiao Yongping delivered a detailed introduction of our institute’s development history, target orientation, and main achievements. He pointed out that the future goal of our institute is to be built into a well-known think tank and decision-making consulting service base in the field of international law in China. Regarding the construction of the talent team, both sides believed that to attract talents, on the one hand, a generous reward mechanism is to be relied on. On the other hand, the construction of a first-rate development platform in China was also needed to create a progressive channel for talents. Finally, both guests and hosts expressed their hope to strengthen cooperation in the process of building the think tanks, pool the advantages of platform construction of both parties, and carry out in-depth cooperation to jointly explore a new path for the construction of think tanks.
