Tell Jessup to you
Jessup is divided into two stages: the domestic competitions and the Washington International competitions
In 2003, China began to hold domestic trials. So far, it has become the most influential and most competitive international law simulation court competition in China. Each year, nearly 50 mainland university teams compete for only a few domestic qualifying places. High-standard competition standards and high-quality competition content make this event one of the benchmarks for testing the strength of major law schools.
The international competition is divided into two stages: the round robin and the knockout. More than 120 global winners will compete in the round roster for the top 32 and will eventually win the championship through multiple rounds of elimination. The finals will be hosted by the judges of the International Court of Justice and broadcast live to the world.
In addition to the group awards and book awards, the Jessup International Law Moot Court can also compete for the best presenter awards.
Undoubtedly, Jessup's entry experience will definitely be a highlight of your resume.

"For me, the biggest meaning that Jessup brings to me is that I can sink my heart and concentrate on one thing in nine months, dispel the anxiety and rush, and keep the game in a down-to-earth manner. I have been frustrated and proud. I have been complaining about it. I want to say that if you join Jessup, you are bound to get a lot. A lot of people know the law, few can speak the law. Knowing and speaking the law is a rare gift. Join us!"
—— 2015 team member, Wu Kang
“Jessup is a challenge that students who are passionate about law and international law should pursue. This competition is pure, real and intense, and it is a good opportunity to motivate yourself to learn and use under pressure.”
—— 2016 team member,Zheng Zhengze
“You may feel that international law is far away from us, especially with future career development. Then Jessup may be your first and even only Public Internation Law platform. At the same time, you may gradually understand international law. What is the use of our exploration for our individual? I think it may be: learn to think macroscopically and globally without neglecting or even paying attention to the microscopic individual itself. Learn to start thinking about those happen around you every day but you don’t pay attention to and the narrow-minded problems that are far from the law school vocational education."
——2017 team member, Zhao Jiaxuan
“Jessup is not a battlefield full of pressure. Here, you will meet a variety of “cattle people” and there will be opportunities to socialize with other outstanding students. During Jessup period there will be many activities to participate and exchange with other schools, including the dinner after the end of the competition. Students from various schools will interact with the opponents, communicate with the judges, and get to know each other.
More importantly, the hard-working partners gather together to train, discuss, and simulate during the preparation of the competition. What kind of friendship is more precious than the friendship in the cold winter? :) After the baptism of eating and working together in months, it will certainly make youbecome close friends. I believe that when you reach the end, you will feel that you are worthy of this travel ”
——Xu Ran, the team member in 2017
