- What is ICC?
The International Criminal Court ("ICC") is the first permanent international criminal justice institution established by the international community and plays a very important role in combating international crimes and establishing a unified international criminal legal system. The Chinese government has consistently supported the punishment of serious violations of international humanitarian law and has always paid attention to the work of the International Criminal Court. In order to further promote the understanding and research on international criminal law and the work of the International Criminal Court, the China University of Political Science and Law and the International Criminal Court have jointly organized the “International Criminal Court Trial Contest (English)” China Domestic Trial in recent years.The team which won the top three in the domestic trials will have the opportunity to participate in the global finals at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, the Netherlands. In 2018, a total of 73 teams from 42 countries and regions participated in the Hague Finals.
- The ICC Team of Wuhan University
In the previous domestic competitions, the Wuhan University Law School team and the famous domestic university teams from Tsinghua University, Nanjing University, and the Diplomatic College competed fiercely and our team finally won the first prize. In 2018, the Wuhan University team won the qualification for the international competition in The Hague with the third place( the first prize )of the domestic competitions. In this competition, they advanced to the global top 27 with excellent performance and entered the quarter-finals. The results of the competition fully demonstrated the solid international law foundation, fluent English expression ability and good spirit of solidarity and cooperation of the ICC Wuda team. It reflects the excellent teaching achievements and profound academic accumulation of Wuhan University Law School and Institute of International Law.
- what will you gain after participating in ICC?

- What do you need to participate in ICC?
- Be fond of international law, have a certain foundation of international law, and have a knowledge of international criminal law and international humanitarian law.
2. Enough time to invest (each team member needs to spend a lot of spare time for legal research, essay writing and oral debate exercises during the preparation of the game)
3. Good team spirit and team communication skills
4. Excellent literature search ability, Chinese and English reading and writing skills
5. Experience with similar competitions or multiple entries is preferred

- Registration method:

2. Selection process:
The time and place of the specific selection interview will be notified by SMS. Please come to the interview to prepare for the self-introduction of 1-2min. The interview will be organized around the basic knowledge of international law and international criminal law in a simple English-Chinese question and answer session. The interviewer will comprehensively consider and judge the interviewer's knowledge of international law, English expression level and on-the-spot response ability.
- 2019 IGLP Scholars Workshop!
The IGLP Scholars Workshop, hosted and sponsored by the Thailand Institute of Justice, will take place in Bangkok, Thailand from January 6-10, 2019!
The IGLP Scholars Workshop is an intensive, regionally-focused residential program that brings together an international cohort of young doctoral scholars, post-doctoral scholars and junior faculty for intensive collaboration, mentoring, and cross-training.
IGLP’s signature Workshops aims to strengthen the next generation of scholars by placing them in collaboration with their global peers as they develop innovative ideas and alternative approaches to issues of global law, economic policy, social justice and governance. The 2019 IGLP Scholars Workshop focuses on how these issues related to ongoing legal and policy debates throughout Asia and across the world, while offering unparalleled opportunities to strengthen participants’ writing and research.
