Teachers and students from the Institute of International Law were invited to attend the Hague Judgment Project Expert Seminar

From October 27th to 29th, 2017, the Hague Judgment Project Expert Seminar was successfully held in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. This expert seminar was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, the Law School of Sun Yat-Sen University, and the Guangdong Provincial Local Legislative Base of Sun Yat-sen University, and co-organized by the China Civil Private Law Society International Civil Litigation Research Committee. More than 30 experts and scholars from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Supreme People's Court, the State Intellectual Property Office, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the National Copyright Administration, the Hubei Higher People's Court, Sun Yat-Sen University, Wuhan University, Renmin University of China, Nanjing University, China University of Political Science and Law, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, East China University of Political Science and Law, Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and Shanghai School of Political Science and Law participated in the seminar. The seminar held an in-depth discussion on the key issues involved in the third meeting of the Special Committee on the Implementation of the Convention on the conviction of the Foreign Court of The Hague, to be held in November 2017. Professor He Qisheng, Associate Professor Qiao Xiongbing, Ph.D. student Yang Yu and Qian Zhenqiu from  Institute of International Law of Wuhan University were invited to attend and discuss the issue of judicial reconciliation, national treatment and common court issues on the draft Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of the Hague Judgment. A presentation was made at the seminar. At the end of the meeting, Counselor Sun Jin of the Department of Treaty and Law of Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude to the Sun Yat-sen University Law School and the China International Private Law Society International Civil Litigation Special Research Committee for the organization and content arrangement.
