On June 28th, Shen Zhigang, deputy secretary-general of the Shanghai CPPCC and full-time deputy chairman of the Shanghai Standing Committee of the China Democratic League, led a team of researchers to investigate. Deng Zhaohui, the secretary-general and deputy director of the Institute of International law, presided over the meeting. Professor Zhang Hui, Professor Cui Xiaojing and Professor Luo Guoqiang attended the meeting.

Deputy Director Deng Zhaohui first welcomed the arrival of the Shanghai Committee of the China Democratic League and introduced some practices and achievements of think tanks in ideological construction, political participation, social services, organizational construction, academic research, etc., and proposed the current think tank construction and raised problems and challenges encountered. The three professors expounded their experiences and suggestions on the aspects of teaching and research evaluation system, school resource allocation, personnel system, and international recognition.

In his speech, Deputy Secretary-General Shen Zhigang expounded the purpose of this survey and fully affirmed the construction of our think tank. At the same time, it said that the problems in the construction of think tanks in universities are universal. The  Shanghai Committee of the China Democratic League will strengthen the analysis and research on relevant issues. .
