On December 13rd-14th, 2016, the second meeting of the China-Europe Digital Economy and Cyber Security Expert Working Group was held in Yangzhou, Jiangsu. At the invitation of the National Network Office, Professor Huang Zhixiong participated in the conference as a Chinese expert, and expressed his views on issues such as late legislation and law enforcement cooperation in the field of cybersecurity in China and Europe, and conducted in-depth discussions with European experts.
The Central European Digital Economy and Cybersecurity Expert Working Group is a dialogue and cooperation mechanism established by the two sides during the 18th China-EU Summit in July this year. The mechanism is jointly organized by the China National Internet Information Office and the European Commission's Directorate General for Content and Technology of Communication Networks. It has two expert working groups on digital economy and network security. The purpose is to explore the opportunities and challenges that China and Europe face in the digital economy and cyber security, and promote pragmatic cooperation between the two sides in related fields. Experts from both sides come from their respective government departments, industry authorities, enterprises and scientific research institutions. Professor Huang Zhixiong is one of the two Chinese experts from universities.
