On June 13, the "2018 Ocean Law Academic Exchange Conference" co-sponsored by the Institute of Ocean Development Strategy of the State Oceanic Administration and the National High-end Think Tank, Institute of International Law of Wuhan University held the opening ceremony at the Hongshan Hotel in Wuhan.

The academic exchange meeting was hosted by Yang Zewei, professor of the Institute of International Law of Wuhan University. Zhang Haiwen, director of the Development Strategy Institute of the State Oceanic Administration, delivered the opening speech. Experts from the Department of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the Department of Law of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the China University of Political Science and Law, the Taiwan Normal University, the Hainan University, the State Oceanic Administration and the Wuhan University commented on the expert report on the exchange. More than 70 experts and scholars from the Central Party School, Zhongshan University, Nanjing University, Beijing Normal University, Xiamen University, Zhejiang University and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and other relevant units attended the exchange meeting.
