On the afternoon of January 4th , 2018, to implement the Agreement on Strategic Cooperation between Wuhan University Law School and Beijing Deheng (Wuhan) Law Firm on Supporting the Establishment of International Law Academic Exchange Program, the Institute of International Law of Wuhan University and Beijing Deheng (Wuhan) Lawyer Affairs held the signing ceremony of the ‘Deheng (Wuhan) International Law Academic Exchange Project’ in Building 2 of the 18th Building of Luojia. Yang Hengmin, executive director of Beijing Deheng (Wuhan) Law Firm, and lawyers Zhu Zhikui, Liu Fang, and Yan Ying,, director Xiao Yongping, deputy director Deng Zhaohui, deputy director of Huang Zhixiong, of Institute of International Law and Professor Huang Deming attended the signing ceremony.

Before the signing of the agreement, the two sides held talks and jointly looked forward to the future prospects for cooperation in a friendly and friendly atmosphere. As a law alumnus of Wuhan University, Yang Hengmin expressed his gratitude and feedback to his alma mater. He also hoped that both parties would achieve a win-win situation through this cooperation project. On behalf of the International Law Institute, Director Xiao Yongping expressed his gratitude to Beijing Deheng (Wuhan) Law Firm and said that the project will provide opportunities for many scholars at home and abroad to expand the influence of international law and hope to provide research through the project and he exchange opportunity to establish close ties with Beijing Deheng (Wuhan) Law Firm.

After the talks, the two sides witnessed the attendance, and Yang Minheng and Director Xiao Yongping signed the project cooperation agreement respectively. It is reported that the project will select 3-5 applicants who meet the requirements from the beginning of this year as "Deheng (Wuhan) International Law Visiting Scholars of Institute of International Law of Wuhan University and provide corresponding funding.
