In 2003, Feng received her doctorate at the Law School of Wuhan University with a thesis entitled “Public Health Crisis and the Reform of International Intellectual Property Systems: Focus on TRIPS”. From then till now, she worked as a researcher at the Wuhan University Institute of International Law. She is also a key lecturer in Public International Law Master and in Juris Master.
As of January 2012, Feng was appointed professor at the Law School of Wuhan University. She is deputy director of the Wuhan University Institute of International law from 2018. She also served as the member of the Wuhan's Political Consultative Conference.
Professor Feng worked as a researcher at the National Top Think-tank from 2015 and served as a legal adviser to the Department of Treaty and Law of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 2016, to provide legal advice about UN and China foreign affair issues.
