现任武汉大学法学院教授(博士生导师)，武汉大学国际法研究所副所长，瑞士世界贸易研究所(The World Trade Institute, Switzerland)兼职研究人员。

曾任瑞士比较法研究所研究人员、瑞士伯尔尼大学欧盟法与国际经济法研究所研究人员和苏州大学法学院教师。

曾在澳大利亚墨尔本大学法学院(MELBOURNE)、莫纳什大学法学院(MONASH)、世界知识产权组织(WIPO)和世界贸易组织(WTO)等学校和机构访问和讲学。

研究领域主要是国际知识产权法、比较知识产权法和国际贸易法(WTO法)

曾承担瑞士国家科学基金项目“The TRIPs Agreement and the Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in China”(2001年10月1日至2003年9月30日)(已完成)，

经济合作与发展组织(OECD)项目“The Report on Counterfeit and Piracy in China” (2006年)(已完成)。
